With a passion and a drive to deliver the very best, we are always looking for those who wish to be the best.  So why not join us on our continuing journey of growth and development.

It's a very exciting time to join the company to become a part of shaping the future of the Crosby Composites. We have 11 departments to deal with each stage of a project:

  • Production Administration
  • Project Management
  • Design
  • Laminating
  • Trim/fitting
  • CNC machining
  • Melt out/pattern prep
  • Inspection/quality
  • IT
  • HR
  • Finance

The manufacture of composite parts is a highly skilled manual process.  Crosby Composites runs recruitment days where prospective employees can see whether they have the manual skill, values, and work ethic to become successful laminators (laying up the incredible structures from individual parts in a mould), trimmers (fine finishing of the components) or painters (spray booth and polishing skills).  Anyone is welcome at these open recruitment days.

We are a small company where everyone knows each other.  The company believes in staff development and will train people from scratch.  It takes 18-24 months to become experienced and skilled in this industry and we invest in people who wish to make that journey.  We have in-house training and also offer apprenticeships.  Staff are carefully supported whilst they learn, working in small teams with an experienced supervisor, and with clear manuals for the work. The company monitors staff skill, accuracy and quality and provides clear feedback to enable staff to improve mastery of the process.  The hourly rate is linked to individual performance to ensure effort is rewarded and the company does all it can to progress staff swiftly.

We are often looking for both skilled and non-skilled individuals to join us so please keep a regular eye on our vacancies, we would love to hear from you.

Here you can search for that opportunity and role you want to build, shape and love.

Our placements are aimed at people who have a passion for learning. Ambitious, innovative and determined people, who think beyond the challenges of today to build carbon fibre of tomorrow. With a blend of hands-on experience and qualifications to target, our undergraduates work on projects that are important to our success.

Our undergraduate placements will intensify your curiosity over a period of either 3 to 15 months. The reality of the projects we’ll immerse you in will surprise you, this is real-world experience that will prepare you for a rapidly changing world.

Apprenticeship programme

There's no need to choose between education and practical skills, because our apprenticeship gives you both. You can broaden your mind with new concepts at college and put them in to action here at Crosby Composites.

While we open your eyes to the future of carbon fibre technology, giving you a platform to make a real difference to Crosby Composites and our customers, we'll also pay for you to complete several valuable academic and vocational qualifications.

To join our apprenticeship scheme, you’ll need Maths, English Language, or Science-related GCSE Grade C or above, or Grade 4-9 or as an alternative, Engineering Vocational qualification Level 3 of 90 credit value (540 GLH).

One of the important parts of the appraisal and selection process is making sure that your attitude to work matches the behaviours we adopt every day in our pursuit of excellence. These behaviours are fundamental to who we recruit and so please be honest when reading through them: problem solving, working with others, problem solving, quality focus, personal responsibility & resilience, willingness to learn, motivation for role.

The apprenticeship scheme is a four year programme, where you earn whilst you learn.
